I read an article about a man who went back to Cambodia after 25 years to forgive the killers of his family during Khmer Rouge and set them free from the burden that tied to them.
“If you have a wound, you remove the plaster and cleanse the wound. It stings, but healing is taking place. Cleansing the wound is necessary for the healing process. Delivering the message of forgiveness to the person who hurt you is extremely painful, but it brought healing.”
Wound might leave behind scars if it is hurt too deeply. And scars bring back memories. Whether it is a good or bad memory, it depends on how you see it =)
